Sign-in privacy

This page explains the account sign-in used by the 23 early-access products listed below. Other MacL tools and separate provider connections have their own notices.

When you continue with Google

The sign-in asks for basic identity: an account identifier, name, email address and profile information that Google supplies. It requests only openid, email and profile access. It does not request access to Gmail, Drive, Calendar or contacts for this sign-in.

You complete Google’s sign-in with Google. Do not enter your Google password into a MacL product’s email/password form.

When you use a product password

The product stores an account record and a hashed password. A saved recovery key, where provided, is your way to reset a forgotten product password. Keep the key private. A Google-only account instead relies on Google’s recovery process.

Your account stays with that product

Each listed product keeps its own account and session. A session cookie supports signed-in use. Different sign-in methods are not automatically linked by email. The sign-in information pages do not create an account or collect a password; their appearance preference is stored in your browser.

App data, removal and retained history

Open the product’s own privacy notice for its exact rules. Private groups, photos, ballots, goals, scores and shared history differ by product. Removing a profile or login may leave the limited historical receipts described by that product. Do not assume that removing a Google connection erases existing app records.

Use the account controls in the product you signed into. Do not put sensitive personal information in nicknames, group names or public support messages.

Read the notice for your product.
